Hello, people of the world!!!!!!! It's been a long time since I posted a post. I mean, it hasn't been a long time, it has been only a week... Anyways, let's get started. If you have seen my last post, well, check it out. It's about the UN report, and let me tell you one thing. I hate that we, the young generation, have to fix all the problems that our ancestors started in the first place. Just think, if we hadn't figured out how to create gasoline from the bones of dead animals, we would be in a better position, but life throws plenty of curveballs. Life is throwing plenty of curveballs now, back to the actual purpose of this post. I wouldn't say I like how politics gets in the way with everything, and in some ways, it worsens things. I read this article in the Washington Post, and I read that many bills have passed, and most of them were for tackling climate change. I am thrilled that people realize they have to do something, but I wish the bills would have passed earlier. I also found out that maybe we would have a greener future if the administration works toward these goals, and the U.S. only contributes 1/7 of the total carbon emissions. But, even if the United States starts to cut carbon emissions, the future will also depend on other nations. For the bill to go through, Biden needs help from Congress, but some of the most important bills haven't passed through, which is bad news. I also read another article that said what power plants account for most of the carbon emissions. I hope you already know that the worst type of plants are coal plants because of the amount of carbon dioxide they emit into the atmosphere. Some ways plants can release fewer carbon emissions are to boost the plant's efficiency. The best way is carbon capture and storage because it can cut carbon emissions (worldwide) by 20 percent, and luckily this can be achieved if the government plans to do something about it. Another article that I read said that methane contributes to the ever-increasing carbon emissions even though it has a short life span, which makes people overlook it. The last thing that I read was about fires. Apparently, they were helpful before, but now they have turn into monsters because of climate change (and us). Fires helped take out the plant litter, and it also made sure that species didn't overgrow. But, sadly, thanks to fewer natural fires and more fossil fuels, the environment lost its ability to fight those fires. This hurts me so bad. We have done so much to this planet even though it didn't do anything to us, and now we are getting payback. Sorry about that, I just had to express my feelings. Before I stop writing this, try to make a difference, walk and bike (it's good for the environment and you), participate in peaceful protests, spread the message that climate change is not a hoax, and plant plants. Bye for now, and try to make a difference.
