It's been a week since I posted, and there has been a lot of chaos. It's painful... Let me just help you catch up with the things that are happening.
First of all, Hurricane Henri. That was in the northeast of the United States, basically New England, in mid-August. It was the first hurricane in thirty years that they had experienced. This gives the idea that climate change affects weather patterns, which is bad because when weather patterns change, some regions are not prepared for those natural disasters, and they will severely impact them.
The Caldor Fire. The Caldor Fire has been spreading throughout Northern California like the Dixie Fire. It has burned one national park, Lassen National Park. What else can it do? It's coming close to Lake Tahoe, which is a potential threat to people. There have been many evacuations going on. Only 12% has been contained... what else can it do????? This is the question that is repeating in my head many times, and I absolutely hate it. I hope everybody who lives in Northern California is safe.
The Dixie fire has faded away in the new at least, but in reality, it hasn't. Only 47% percent has been contained, and there are more evacuations. All of this is making me think, why did we create fossil fuels. The world would have been so much better. Moving on...
Hurricane Ida is the hurricane everybody is talking about now. Most of you guys already know this, so I am just going to summarize it. It impacted much of Louisiana and some parts of Mississippi. It has also caused flash flooding. The hurricane got so bad that rescuers couldn't even come because of their own safety. It landed on Hurricane Katrina's anniversary. Many houses were destroyed, people were killed and injured, and there were plenty of evacuations.
So, since I covered what was going on in the climate crisis, let's move on to something else. Have you checked your water bill? Probably not, right? Write down in the comments. Anyways, please check your water bill, you can improve if your water bill is very high. To make your water bill better, you can conserve water when you're in the shower. Just put a bucket in the shower when you are taking a shower, so you can use that water for your plants or clean something up.
The world's pollution... what do you think? Write down in the comments. I saw a graph, which really intrigued me. I saw that China's carbon dioxide emissions are skyrocketing than any other country. India's are slowly increasing, which is really bad, but the United States and Europe are stable, but decreasing slowly. Then, every other country is also stable, but it's not decreasing or increasing.
Before signing off, here are some ways you can help stop climate change:
The most common thing you can do is recycle, and it's probably the easiest.
You can recycle plastic water bottles and bags, which have the recycle sign on them.
You can also help with clean clean-ups. There are plenty of clean-ups for beaches, roads, and many more.
You can educate people like I am trying to do.
You can plant a tree. Why? Trees use carbon dioxide, so they can help reduce the carbon emissions in the atmosphere.
Use less plastic because most of it goes into the ocean and then breaks down because of the heat, which poisons the sea.
You can walk or bike.
When you walk or bike, you don't release carbon emissions. In worst cases, use public transportation because many people use it, and it doesn't release more carbon dioxide.
You can conserve water so that we have water left, like taking 5-minute showers. You can buy reusable stuff so that you don't need to use too much plastic. You can participate in peaceful protests.
You can also talk to people who have more knowledge about climate change so that you can tell other people.
You can put a bucket in the shower when you are taking a shower, so you can use that water for your plants or clean something up.
Try to make a difference in your community. Even if it's small or big, everything makes a difference when it comes to climate change. I know that everybody knows most of this stuff. It's a good reminder of what you can do to make the world a better place.

Hey great job with this post!!!! When it comes to global pollution, under Biden, while you already know of the budget cuts for going green, I do think there is the smallest morsel of hope alive. It's clear that it's primarily developing nations and/or nations that are pulling themselves up again that are increasing in fossil fuels (does China count as developing? the country has made very noticeable and considerable progress in the last decades, though what they had to come from has to be regarded). Anyway, I'll relate this back to how I usually do: Colonization's effect literally everywhere. When affected countries (both now and before) have to try to recover from what was exploited, we know the process…
